Primary Teacher Education (PTE) Course is a two-year course examined by the Kenya National Examinations Council, KNEC. PTE Course is pursued by students who wish to be teachers at Primary School level after they complete the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination. The teacher trainees in the PTE course who successfully complete, are awarded a Certificate in Primary Teacher Education. These teachers are fully eligible for employment by the Teachers Service Commission TSC.
