In order to digitize the insurance plans, the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has launched e-VAHAN Bima app. It allows the policyholder to carry their insurance policy document as a soft copy eliminating the need to carry an original document. The digital insurance plan consists of a QR code, wherein all the crucial information is stored.
