Lund University uses a national application system run by University Admissions in Sweden. It is only possible to apply during the application period.

Students wishing to study our Master's programmes must apply online through University Admissions. Create an account on the University Admission website and follow the steps to make your online application. Click the "Apply now"-button visible when the application round is open.

Swedish citizen?

Swedish citizens should apply through the Swedish antagning.se, except for the double degree programme MSc Economic Development and Growth.

Step 2: Submit required supporting documents

Submit all supporting documents to University Admissions. In addition to the online application and the necessary documentation stated at Universityadmissions.se, a Statement of Purpose and a CV must also be submitted when applying to a majority of our programmes. Find out which programmes require additional supporting documents on the link below.

Tuition fees and application fees for international students outside EU/EEA and Switzerland

Information about tuition fees for Master's programmes can be found on each programme page.

If you have citizenship from a country that is not an EU/EEA country (or Switzerland), an application fee is required for your admissions application to be processed.

English language requirements

Strong English language communication skills are crucial to gain the full benefit of the programmes we offer. However, meeting the minimum English language test requirements does not guarantee admission. A majority of students accepted to this programme submit test scores corresponding to IELTS band 7.0.

What are our minimum requirements?
We require a good command of the English language, both spoken and written. The English language entry requirement is the equivalent of English studies at upper secondary level in Sweden (gymnasium), called English 6/English Course B.

For international students, this can be demonstrated in various ways. You can demonstrate that you meet the English language requirement through certain upper secondary (high school) studies, certain university studies, or an internationally approved English test.

We prefer candidates to take the IELTS test where possible. We accept the following tests and minimum scores:

GMAT and GRE tests

We do not require aptitude tests such as GMAT or GRE, but a well-balanced GMAT or GRE score may strengthen your application to some of our programmes.

Final year Bachelor's student?

Even if you do not yet have your Bachelor's degree certificate, you are still able to apply.

Apply to courses

Application for courses within a study programme

To be able to participate in teaching and assessment you need to be registered for a course. Registration is also a condition to receive student finance from the Swedish Board of Student Finance (CSN).

Only those students who are admitted to a course can be registered. The department carries out the registration in connection with the start of semester. Remember that, in some cases, you must accept your place on the course one more time, either in person or electronically.

In the event of problems with your registration, please contact the programme administrator at the department to which your programme belongs.

In connection with the start of the course, you will receive information from your department about how to register.

Doctoral studies

Doctoral programmes (PhD programmes) are offered by all six departments at Lund University School of Economics and Management. Read more about doctoral studies and how to apply:
